Afton Mission

Our Mission

Our mission is to help people, families, and organizations in need. We are here to continue spreading love as Afton did. Our family's world was destroyed on Sunday, June 30th, 2019, when our son passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning, during a boating accident. We have chosen to turn our hurt, sadness, devastation, and loss into something good. We will continue to thank God for all that we have, both seen and unseen, for what is unseen is eternal. Our family likes to quote this scripture often-1 John 4:19, “We love because he first loved us.” We will show grace, love, and truth as it is frequently demonstrated to us.

We hope that you will all join us on this journey. We will continue to move forward, give, help, love, and learn how to live this NEW way. To us, our son is not truly gone; we just don’t see him like we used to. We now see him in the smile of a little boy that we gave a gift to, or in the older woman’s eyes that just needed someone to talk to.
